Biography


Helen Rottier is a graduate student in Disability Studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is a research assistant in the Institute on Disability and Human Development, a collaborating researcher in the Gernsbacher Lab at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and the student coordinator of the Chicago Coalition of Autistic and Neurodivergent Students (CANS). Her research focuses on academic ableism, the experiences of autistic college students, and the role of mentorship in supporting these students. She is also fascinated by autistic community spaces, especially online spaces and Autistic Twitter.
