Provides technical and market consultation on disability and the information industry to firms, researchers, and public policy agencies. Performs product audits and design consulting for telecommunications and information technology companies. Provides technology consulting and systems integration for information industry projects in product development and customer support. Provides training to government and industry staff. Lead of Education and Training Work Group of the Information Technology Technical Assistance and Training Center (ITTATC) recent. Managed computer and development projects for U.S. Department of Education. Performed industry research for the Universal Design Research Project. Performed Market Monitoring Report for the U.S. Access Board. 1984-1995 Member of Technical Staff Bell Labs, Bellcore. Designed and implemented technical aids for people with disabilities. Coordinated Bell company joint efforts on telecommunications accessibility, including market research, review of services, stakeholdering, and public policy implications. Provided expert consultation to Bellcore client companies on disability market analysis. 1982-1990 Consultant New Jersey Department of Vocational Rehabilitation. Trained counselors in rehabilitation engineering options, performed client evaluation and adaptive equipment selection and modification. Consultant New Jersey Department of Human Services, Office of Education Trained staff in technical aids for disabled students. Consultant Various Rehabilitation Institutions Trained staff and evaluated disabled clients for use of adaptive aids. Also fabricated aids and created computer programs and systems. 1979-1981 Designer, Technician, Trainer, Manager Center for Independent Living, Berkeley, CA. Designed and built adaptive equipment for home and workplace. Subcontractor on National Science Foundation projects on Voice Output Communication Aids. Trained rehabilitation professionals and clients in vocational rehabilitation engineering.
