Description

The Department of Disability and Human Development is the only academic department in the disability studies field that provides a path from Minor to PhD and anything in between. Learn more about the academic programs offered at DHD including the minor and major in Disability and Human Development for undergraduates, the Masters and Doctorate program in Disability Studies, as well as certificate programs in disability ethics and assistive technology. Our strength lies in the interdisciplinary nature of our department, with access to diverse faculty mentors and resources in the health fields, social sciences and humanities. DHD graduates are finding careers ranging from academic appointments in the burgeoning field of disability studies, to leadership positions in social service and governmental agencies, to advocacy positions in countries around the world.
