I live in an apartment complex where part of the complex is ADA compliant. I have tried to get the other part to be the same way. They say that since I live in an area that is ADA compliant there is no need to make the other area accessible. They just recently did repairs on the sidewalk and is there not a law or ordinance that states, if repairs are done that it has to be ADA compliant. |

Can my employer (tenant) or building manager in a multi-tenant office building Texas be held responsible for ADA violations if accommodations for a fragrance free workplace have been requested (by me) and the building refuses to comply, but continues using fragrance-emitting devices in lobby and bathrooms? I have a fragrance disability, along with fragrance allergies. The requested MSDS on the fragrances also show presence of phthalates, a known human endocrine disruptor, and other hazards such as skin allergens. Thank you. |
