Friday, November 8, 2013

On September 26, 2013, the Access Board plans to issue final guidelines covering access to trails, picnic and camping facilities, viewing areas, and beach access routes on sites managed by the federal government. The new guidelines will apply to these elements and spaces as developed or altered by federal land management agencies, including the U.S. Forest Service, the National Park Service, the Fish and Wildlife Service, the Bureau of Land Management, the Bureau of Reclamation, and the Army Corps of Engineers. In this webinar, presenters will review the scoping and technical requirements of the new guidelines and explain their implementation as standards under the Architectural Barriers Act (ABA), including effective dates.
