Stacy Branham is an Associate Professor of Informatics at the University of California, Irvine. Her research reveals how technology can isolate, offend, and harm people with disabilities, as much as it has the potential to integrate and empower them when designed properly. Recent studies have centered the experiences of people who are blind or low vision, focusing on accessible navigation, inclusive imagery, and parenting with a disability. In 2021, she was named one of the “Brilliant 10” rising STEM researchers by Popular Science. She received her BS and PhD in Computer Science from Virginia Tech.
