Hannah Goodwin

Cultural Access and Inclusion Specialist
Open Door Arts

Hannah Goodwin has deep experience working at the juncture of art and accessibility. A lifelong artist, she has worked with students with disabilities in a variety of settings, eventually teaching art in a middle/high school for students with disabilities. In 2001, Hannah shifted into the Museum world, taking a position as Manager of Accessibility at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, becoming the Museum’s ADA/504 coordinator. In 2011, Hannah (with colleagues from other organizations) co-founded CANE (Cultural Access New England) and continues to be involved as a member of the Steering Committee. At the MFA, she began leading trainings locally and further afield, which she continues in her current role as Access Consultant and Collaborator, having left the MFA at the end of 2020 to continue the work in new ways. At the heart of all her work has been the belief that the arts belong to everyone, with choice and equity essential.
