Validating Section 508 Compliance in the Procurement and Development Processes - The DHS "Trusted Tester" Program

Thursday, November 21, 2013

Description

How can an agency use a standardized test approach to accurately evaluate ICT for Section 508 compliance? This webinar will provide an overview of the standards-based approach developed and used by the Department of Homeland Security for testing and evaluating Web and software applications. The presenters will discuss how their need for reliable and repeatable testing across agencies pushed them to develop the "Trusted Tester" concept whereby people are trained and tested on using standards-based test and evaluation procedures to ensure consistent and accurate test results that can be shared across agencies and reduce redundant testing.

The recommended audience is Chief Information Officers, Chief Acquisition Officers, Agency Policy-Makers and 508 practitioners.
