Illinois Department of Public Health Disability and Health Program

The State of Illinois received a grant from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention's National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities (NCBDDD). The purpose of the grant is to promote health, prevent chronic disease, and increase the quality of life among people with disabilities. The Illinois Department of Public Health Disability and Health Program will work alongside the other states to increase capacity and action in health promotion, access to health care and emergency preparedness activities for people with disabilities. A part of this effort includes hosting of education programs that promote knowledge regarding health issues and people with disabilities. This series of training programs will be conducted via webinar and be made available FREE to those interested.
