New England ADA Center

Biography

Stacy sees her work here as a continuation of making our communities more accessible and inclusive of everyone. Even as we approach the 30thanniversary of the ADA, many people with disabilities including people who are addicted to alcohol and people in recovery from the illegal use of drugs still do not know they have protections from disability-related discrimination under the ADA. To fill this gap in knowledge, Stacy has provided trainings geared toward people in recovery from SUD and has helped develop several factsheets on the topic. She also provides training on the ADA, Section 504 and state building code. Previously at Boston Center for Independent Living, Stacy worked with youth and adults with disabilities from diverse backgrounds achieve their education and independent living goals. She helped parents through the Individual Education Plan (IEP) process and assisted with transition services for high school students.
