Vote 2004: Will people with disabilities be able to vote? What are the issues and where are we today?

Tuesday, October 19, 2004

As the fall election season approaches, the question asked by people with disabilities will not be "Who won" but rather "WAS I ABLE TO GET INTO MY POLLING PLACE?" This session will examine the status of accessibility of the voting process and what if any progress has been made toward implementation of the Help American Vote Act (HAVA). Tune in to learn strategies that can be utilized if you find that your polling place is not accessible and what can be done.
