This session provides an overview of a unique program of the Great Plains ADA Center and the University of Missouri College of Human Environmental Sciences. The ADA Coordinator Training Certification Program (ACTCP) verifies that participants have completed training in required content areas, and have a depth of knowledge in ADA issues by passing an online comprehensive examination. Upon completion of the program, ACTCP certifies a knowledge base essential to performing the role of an ADA Coordinator. Today, the program has over 2500 members and over 1000 people have been certified. Learn why the program was developed and its mission, how content topic areas were established, and how members are using the certification to implement the ADA in their jobs and communities.
