Biography


Sheryl is a knowledgeable human resource professional with more than 20 years of experience, including being a recognized expert in Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). She specializes in ADA compliance, facilitating the ADA accommodation process (communication between employee and employer), employee relations, training, performance management, and coaching. Sheryl helps business organizations create a culture and processes that smoothly facilitate the accommodation requirements of the ADA. Before joining Augmented HR Solutions as a consultant, Sheryl provided HR services in a variety of industries including nonprofits, communications, IT, hospitality, and manufacturing. Her HR experience ranges from assisting start-ups to medium-sized businesses. Sheryl earned the Certified ADA Coordinator (ADAC) through the ADA Coordinator Training Certification Program (ACTCP), a program administered and coordinated the Great Plains ADA Center and overseen and issued by the University of Missouri - College of Human and Environmental Sciences, School of Architectural Studies. Based on her professional and personal experience, Sheryl published Making it Work: Managing Your Health Condition Through ADA Workplace Accommodations (2020). Sheryl is also a Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) with an expertise in regulations and legal mandates specific to the state of California (PHRca) and is a Certified Human Resources Professional (SHRM-CP) through the Society of Human Resources Management. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX, and her master of arts in Dispute Resolution and Conflict Management through Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX.
