Criminal Justice and the ADA

Wednesday, September 21, 2016

Description

Unfortunately, there are many people with disabilities in the criminal justice system. Back in 1998, the Supreme Court made clear in a case called Yeskey that the ADA applies to state prisons. This webinar will review how the ADA has been applied to law enforcement and the criminal justice system, including a discussion of recent litigation involving the segregation of people with mental illness in prisons.
