ADA in the K-12 Setting

Wednesday, May 16, 2018

Description

Often when people think about disability rights in the K-12 setting, they focus on special education rights under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). While that law provides critical legal protections for students with disabilities and their families, the ADA also applies to this setting. In this webinar, the rights and responsibilities of students with disabilities, family members, and school personnel under the ADA will be discussed. The webinar will also focus on the latest case law interpretations, including the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision on the interplay between the ADA and the IDEA. You'll want to attend this session to make sure you get an “A“ on your ADA report card.
